Archery at the Paris Olympics Taegeuk Warriors will participate in the archery competition in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, in May

Taegeuk Warriors, who won the gold medal in the team archery event at the Paris Olympics, will participate in an international competition in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, next month.

Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, announced on the 20th that it will hold an event match between the Korean national team and the winning national team at the Gujangbae International Archery Competition, which is scheduled to be held for five days from the 20th of next month.

Six players are scheduled to participate in the event, including Kim Woo-jin (33), Kim Je-deok (21), Lee Woo-seok (28), Lim Si-hyun (21), Nam Soo-hyun (20), and Jeon Hoon-young (30).

These six competed in archery at the Paris Olympics last year and won gold medals in the men's and women's team events.

On May 24, they plan to hold a three-on-three men's and women's event with the winners of the competition to revitalize the archery base and promote global exchange and cooperation.

With the budget of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sports, the district will upgrade the archery competition, which was held as a national competition until last year, to an international competition this year.

The move is aimed at revitalizing the local economy, developing the sports tourism industry, and improving the city brand by enhancing the competitiveness of domestic archers and attracting international competitions. 토토사이트

The preliminary round and the quarterfinals of the competition will be held at the Gyeyang Asiad Archery Field, where the 2014 Asian Games were held, and from the semifinals to the final, the Gyeyang Ara Waterway (Gyeyang Araon) will be held at the special archery range.

The district plans to create an archery range in Gyeyang Araon that meets the standards of the international archery competition, which is in harmony with the Gyeyang Araon Suhyangwon, a traditional Korean garden.

The district predicts that more than 380 athletes from 13 countries, including South Korea, Australia, Japan, the United States, China and India, will participate in the competition.

A district official said, "While we are currently recruiting athletes for the competition, many overseas teams are inquiring," adding, "We will be thorough in preparation to ensure that both athletes and audiences participating in Asia's first international archery competition are not uncomfortable."
